About

Equistar was established in 2003. Equistar’s training program includes training Arabians and Half-Arabians for the show ring, where we have been very successful at the National, Regional, and Local levels. We have had many winners in halter, western pleasure, driving, English pleasure, hunter pleasure, and trail for the open and amateur divisions.

Equistar has also had the opportunity to start many young Thoroughbreds for the racetrack. The Thoroughbreds we have started have gone on to be extremely successful racehorses for multiple trainers in the Mid-Atlantic Region.

We enjoy being involved in the Arabian show world, as well as the Thoroughbred Racing world.

In 2018 we welcomed multi Graded Stakes winner Crown of Thorns to Equistar and in 2019 we were extremely fortunate to add the legendary champion SMARTY JONES to our stallion roster here at Equistar. Both stallions, Crown of Thorns and Smarty Jones will be here in 2020.
